KrausCreative’s Marketing Strategy Helps Children’s Charity Grow
St. Joseph’s Villa, a world-class educational facility for at-risk youth, must accomplish a great deal with limited funds on an annual basis. Projects like building a library for its students, enhancing the school’s greenhouse or conducting Adventure Workshops on an outdoor challenge course can have far-reaching benefits, but the funding required for such activities was often beyond the Villa’s resources.
Thanks to an innovative solution provided by Roman Kraus and strategic partner Randal Simonetti of Ignition Consulting Ltd., St. Joseph’s Villa formed partnerships with companies in the private sector to bring special services and programs to its young constituents—all while building name recognition and visibility.
The concept is simple: The Villa chooses a project and forms a partnership with a corporation or business to accomplish the goal, while KrausCreative builds a joint advertising campaign around the project—and both the Villa and the corporation split the campaign costs. The private company receives public recognition for its leadership as a good corporate citizen, while the Villa gets the assistance it needs to develop programs or make capital improvements.
The results to date have exceeded all expectations. Business partners including the ChamberlainD’Amanda law firm, home products company Rochester Colonial, the Summit Federal Credit Union, Toshiba Business Solutions and the accounting firm of Mengel Metzger Barr & Co., LLP, enjoy positive brand positioning, while the Villa attracts new donors and clients with its increased visibility.
